Anyone looking for a videographer in Munich will hear very different prices, from a few hundred to several thousand euros. In this guide I explain what the price is made up of, which guide prices you can expect and how to compare quotes properly. I’m David Müller, videographer and editor in Munich (OMNITUDE).
What the price is made up of
- Concept: goal, target audience, hooks, script and shooting plan.
- Shooting time: half or full shooting day, number of locations, team (solo or with sound/lighting).
- Equipment: camera, lighting, sound, gimbal, drone if needed.
- Editing and post-production: editing, color grading, sound design, subtitles, different formats (9:16, 16:9, 1:1).
- rounds of revisions and usage rights (website, social media, advertising).
Guide prices: how much does a video cost in Munich?
As a rule of thumb: simple social media clips cost roughly between a few hundred and around €3,000 on the market, image films or company films usually from about €2,000 upwards, and considerably more depending on the effort. For orientation, here are my own prices at OMNITUDE (net, plus VAT):
- Single social media video (up to 60 sec., half shooting day, 2 revisions): from €890
- Content subscription (1 shooting day/month, 8–12 reels): from €1,490 per month
- Starter subscription (half shooting day, 4–6 reels): from €890 per month
- Recruiting video: from €1,290
- Company documentary (3–5 min.): from €2,900
- Extras: drone +€250, additional cutdown +€120, ads management from €390/month
Single video or content subscription?
A single video makes sense for a clear occasion: a campaign, a job ad, an event. If you want to stay visible on Instagram or TikTok, you need content regularly. A subscription is then usually cheaper per video, because one shooting day produces material for many clips.
How to compare quotes properly
- Is it a fixed price or an hourly rate with no cap?
- How many rounds of revisions are included?
- Which formats do you get (vertical, landscape, short versions)?
- Which usage rights are included, also for paid advertising?
- How quickly is it delivered?
Conclusion
A good videographer in Munich will give you a fixed price after a short conversation that fits your goal, not the most expensive package. If you want to know what makes sense for your business: request a free initial consultation or see all services and pricing.
